Seven alarms every night as insurance. Nine snoozes every morning as reality. The math has never once worked out.
“Sorry, traffic.” Be honest — the worst congestion in Hong Kong is the three steps between your bed and the bathroom.
Five minutes becomes another five. You open your eyes and somehow it's 10:30.
Loud. Even on silent. Built on Apple's AlarmKit, it's a real system alarm — it shows on your Lock Screen and cuts straight through Focus modes.
Tap “Do it” — photograph the thing, do the push-ups, solve the math. Finish, and only then does it go quiet.
Complete the mission and you get a roast (or some backhanded praise) on screen, and today goes on your streak.
From moving your body to waking your brain — pick whatever actually works on you.
Stack up to 3 missions on one alarm
Before bed, pick one household object. When the alarm rings, photograph that exact thing. AI vision checks the photo — and roasts you if you try to fake it.

Prop the phone about a metre in front of you — the front camera counts your reps on-device.
Same camera rep-counting, squat edition. Blood moving, brain booting.
Shake the phone hard (default 30 times). The motion sensor counts; your arm decides when you're awake.
Solve arithmetic problems (default 3). Can't add? You're not awake yet. Keep going.
Hold the mic button and read 3 positive affirmations out loud. Speech recognition, in the language you picked in the app, checks you actually said them.
Register any barcode or QR at home (the toothpaste tube works). At ring time, physically walk over and scan it.
Anti-cheat system
iOS forces a system Stop button onto every alarm — so this app was designed assuming you'll press it.
Stop the alarm without finishing the mission? A punishment alarm fires 15 seconds later. There is no snoozing your way out of this.
About 15 minutes after you finish the mission, a surprise check-in fires. Ignore it (you went back to bed, didn't you?) and a punishment alarm rings about 19 minutes later. Confirm you're up and it disarms.
For genuinely lazy mornings, you can skip the next ring — once. The weekly schedule resumes after. Mercy exists; it's just rationed.
Straight from the app's English roast bank, word for word. Deadpan on purpose.
look at you. up. actual applause 👏
fine. you didn't die in that bed today.
that's not it. not even close.
wrong. did you shoot that with your eyes shut? 😑
still in bed? that mattress isn't your friend.
had enough sleep? the world isn't waiting.
barely acceptable. same again tomorrow.
It doesn't just roast and run — every morning is logged.
12day streak
Consecutive wake-ups build your streak. Up to 2 missed days a week are auto-frozen, so one bad night doesn't nuke it.
Struggle time (minutes)
Illustration — the app charts your real data
See your own patterns: which mornings you fought hardest, at a glance.
What time you woke, how long you struggled, how the missions went — day by day, no excuses.
Read-only access to your sleep data, so stats reflect your real average sleep. It never leaves your phone.
HK$24 a month on the yearly plan — the price of one iced lemon tea. Still cheaper than being late again.

Yes. WakeUpLa is built on Apple's AlarmKit, so alarms are real system alarms: they ring loudly through silent mode and Focus, and show on the Lock Screen like the built-in alarm.
The photo is sent over an encrypted connection for a one-time AI check (did you photograph the right thing?), then discarded. We never store it and never use it for ads. See the Privacy Policy for details.
No. The mic records only while you physically hold the read-aloud button, and the audio is processed by Apple's speech recognition in the language you chose in the app. The app stores no recordings.
The Apple Health connection is optional and read-only: it only reads your sleep analysis for stats, and the data never leaves your phone.
Use 「放我一馬」 (one-off skip): skip the next ring — once. The weekly schedule then resumes as normal.
iPhone Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → WakeUpLa → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. On the Lifetime plan there is nothing to cancel in the first place.
Yes. HK$688 charged once through the App Store — no subscription, no auto-renew, every Premium feature unlocked for good. If you'd rather try before you commit, take the yearly plan: the 3-day free trial comes with it.
No. The 3-day free trial is on the yearly plan only. Monthly charges HK$38 at confirmation of purchase and renews every month until you cancel.
iPhone, iOS 26.5 or later. AlarmKit is what makes silent-proof system alarms possible.
Yes. The whole app runs in English, Cantonese, Taiwan Mandarin or Simplified Chinese — switch any time in Settings. Each language's roasts are written natively, not translated 😌
